As our Systems Reliability Engineer, you’ll play a strategic role in shaping asset reliability and performance. You’ll embed best in class reliability engineering practices, streamline asset management processes, influence system wide improvements aligned with the EA 2030 Strategy. We are seeking an experienced individual with an engineering degree, preferably with an MEICA engineering background.
You should also be able to demonstrate relevant experience in the following areas: -
- Proven experience in asset management and reliability engineering within a complex operational environment.
- Strong finance and budget management capabilities
- Programme and maintenance management
- Technical Leadership
- Effective planning skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and collaborating with MEICA engineers to support integrated asset management and reliability initiatives.
- Ability to adopt modern reliability and technological innovations within the engineering sector.
- Excellent IT skills and experience of managing and interpreting data to inform engineering decisions
- Experience/knowledge of maintaining mechanical and electrical systems
• A working knowledge of computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)

Responding to incidents is a central part of MEICA we do. Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate. This may attract an additional payment and full training will be available. Please see candidate pack for information on how you will support.
The hybrid working requirements are flexible but circa two days travel to sites and area offices.
Currently the position will attract a Market Forces Factor annual payments of £4750 for Incorporated Engineers and £9750 for Chartered Engineers (Member of ImechE/IET)

Maintain MEICA assets to ensure they meet statutory, safety and performance standards and realise cost effective design life. Please describe a role where you used an Engineering Management System to manage funding, allocate and track work, deliver statutory and operational maintenance and carry out data analysis on MEICA systems. What tools did you use, and what impact did your approach have on asset performance or reliability?
Develops and maintains effective working relationships. As a technical engineering team, we often need to influence and collaborate with non-technical teams. Describe a time when you built a strong working relationship with someone outside your immediate technical team. What steps did you take to build trust and understanding and how did that relationship contribute to achieving a successful outcome?
Presenting a case in a convincing and attractive way that will win people over, encouraging them to follow plans willingly; often succeeding where logic and reason alone would fail. Describe a time when you had to influence or convince a non-technical audience to follow your engineering advice or plan?
How did you present your case in a clear, engaging and persuasive way? What techniques did you use to win people over and gain their commitment?
Collects, analyses, interprets, records, manages, develops and shares data, material or information appropriately for a variety of Engineering purposes. Describe a time when you collected, analysed, and used engineering data to inform or influence a key business or technical decision?
