We require a highly organised and proactive individual to lead the sub-team within the Benefits Outcome & Performance Team that leads on managing in-year finance, properties benefitting outcomes and wider portfolio level reporting to Boards and Committees, all in connection with the Environment Agency's Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Investment Programme. This a critical role to ensure we take the right management actions to spend to budget, achieve the corporate target of properties benefitting and continue to demonstrate that we have grip on delivery.
The successful candidate will lead the sub team and work closely with Programme and Projects Teams as well as Defra Finance and Defra Flood Policy colleagues. You and your team will bring together data and information from teams across the Environment Agency using data from Project Management systems and Finance Systems. You will work across teams and senior stakeholders where excellent analytical, influencing and presentation skills will be required.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and be capable of planning and co-ordinating action. They will be an excellent pro-active problem solver, providing realistic ideas and solutions to complex problems within challenging timescales. They will also be able to influence senior people across different teams and disciplines to support delivery of the FCRM Investment programme. Knowledge of existing FCRM outcome reporting systems and Finance Management is desirable to undertake this role.
